Trident Event Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Sound Technician to join our team full-time. We’re an event-based production company specializing in high-end weddings, corporate events, live performances, and branded content, including podcast production. We're known for delivering exceptional experiences, and sound is at the heart of what we do.

The ideal candidate is experienced with live sound, audio equipment, and podcast workflows, and brings a professional, client-focused attitude to every project. This role requires flexibility for evening and weekend work and a passion for delivering flawless audio in fast-paced environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a DJ for weddings or private events

  • Proficiency with DJ equipment and software (e.g., Serato, Traktor, Rekordbox)

  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of music genres and the ability to read a room

  • Comfortable on the mic when needed, with great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional in appearance and conduct

  • Able to handle quick changes, last-minute requests, and unexpected situations

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and dismantle sound systems for live events including speakers, mixers, microphones, monitors, and wireless systems

  • Manage live audio mixing for weddings, corporate functions, and performances

  • Record, edit, and mix audio for podcasts and video content, ensuring clean, high-quality sound

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site or in post-production

  • Coordinate with performers, hosts, MCs, and event producers for seamless AV delivery

  • Conduct sound checks and monitor levels throughout events

  • Load, unload, and maintain audio equipment before and after events

  • Maintain organization of audio files, cables, and gear; flag any maintenance needs

  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication with clients and collaborators

requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in live sound, AV tech, or audio post-production

  • Proficiency with audio equipment and software, including digital mixers (X32, QSC TouchMix), DAWs (Reaper, Adobe Audition, or Pro Tools), and podcast editing tools

  • Experience with podcast recording and post-production, including EQ, compression, noise reduction, and multi-track editing

  • Ability to lift and transport heavy gear (up to 50 lbs) and work long hours on your feet

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

  • Availability for nights, weekends, and flexible event-based schedules

  • Calm, solutions-oriented mindset under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal and client service skills
