systems Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer with a strong background in networking, software, and applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust systems infrastructure to support our organization's technological needs. In addition, there is an opportunity for the role to expand into the exciting field of virtual production.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure: Design, implement, and optimize network architecture to ensure reliable connectivity and performance across the organization. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
Software and Application Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, select, and integrate software and applications into the existing infrastructure. Ensure seamless interoperability and efficient data flow.
Systems Administration: Administer and maintain servers, workstations, and other IT equipment. Perform routine system upgrades, security patching, and backups. Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues.
Virtual Production Expansion: Contribute to the development and expansion of virtual production capabilities within the organization. Research, test, and implement cutting-edge technologies related to virtual sets, real-time rendering, motion capture, and virtual reality.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with resolving technical problems in a timely manner. Offer training and guidance to users on new systems and technologies.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and user manuals. Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and capacity.
Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and production teams, to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions. Manage projects related to systems infrastructure upgrades and virtual production initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Systems Analyst or Technologist.
Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies.
Proficiency in designing and implementing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
Solid understanding of software and application integration, including SAAS products and ERPs.
Familiarity with systems administration, server virtualization, and cloud computing.
Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is plus not necessary.
Knowledge of virtual production technologies and workflows is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
